WARNING: Sugar Substitute Stevia + Monk Fruit

Recent articles published 3/14/2023 by the National Institute of Health titled, “Erythritol and cardiovascular events” and CNN Health on 9/23/23 titled “Erythritol, an ingredient in stevia, linked to heart attack and stroke”, the sugar substitute erythritol, which is found in Splenda, Stevia, Monk Fruit and Truvia, is linked to increased risk of heart attack and stroke due to increased blood clotting.

The studies go on to report that there is no current accepted daily intake set by the US Food and Drug Administration and that erythritol is generally recognized as safe.

Long story short: more research needs to be completed due to the wide availability of erythritol containing products.

WHY SUGAR?

WHY SUGAR?

Sugar cane is an all-natural simple carbohydrate quickly absorbed for immediate muscle recovery.

Carbohydrate needs depend on the intensity of your workout. More intense training requires more carbohydrates. Simple carbohydrates, like sugar cane, provide a quick boost of glycogen, which supports muscle repair and growth.
